I'm not sure.  It seems to me like river carp seem to move seasonally around the spawn and then they more or less stay put for the summer.  If they have moved out of your carp holes now, I expect you won't see them again until next spring.

Having owned a gheenoe, fished out of a riverhawk, and currently own a Towee I can only say this..... I think gheenoes have better fit and finish than a riverhawk but functionally the riverhawk performs as good as the gheenoe. THe higher price on the gheenoe does not get you any better performance. I prefer my towee as its not as expensive as a gheenoe, better fit and finish than a riverhawk, and its lighter than both of them. My boat was more than a riverhawk but less than a gheenoe. Towee is built in middle Tennessee by local people, the company is owned by a local guide. That said Chris has a really good price on his remaining riverhawks. All the opinions are great but remember boats are like women and there is a model to fit your taste somewhere.

They are expensive, require constant maintenance, they can be temperamental, and even if you've got a good one, sometimes it seems like it would be fun to go for a ride on a different model?  :)

Seriously, Troy, how's the secondary stability on the Towee?  I notice that they don't have the broad chine design of the Gheenoe or Riverhawk and are more like a traditional semi-v jon boat hull design.  Without having been in one, I assume this means they essentially have jon boat stability - probably fine for regular fishing, but I wouldn't try to dance on the gunnels or put a poling platform on one like you can with a Gheenoe.  Am I guessing about right?

Brian I walk on my gunnels, in the rod wells and if poling platforms were not almost 1000.00 I would l already have on on my boat.
