A little more birding
« on: July 03, 2011, 11:51:31 AM »

This Barred Owl let me walk right up to it and snap a few before he flew away without making a sound. Being right next to such a reclusive bird while it Who who whooo's was a privalige. This is only my second really close owl encounter and so far both of them (the other was a great horned) were very courteous to the paparazzi. :)

Here is the Great Horned Owl I met on the Stones one day. Taken with a point and shoot.

Earlier in the week on Priest, Momma was watching me very closely.

Because these guys are still a little vulnerable.

A Rocking Blue Heron.

Nice stuff! I really dig the back light on the woodies.

I'm going through withdrawal here, but the move is almost over (only one more truckload!)... Time to get back to chasing fish!
