Has anyone tried the Beatle Spin minus the spin line of Trout lures and if so ,,what was your experience??

Yes I have. Use 1/64 oz chartruse color. Works well around brush piles and down trees in the Elk. I cast it upstream and slowly work it across the current. Usually get several quick hard hits in a row before I get the hook set.

If your wanting to tie your own, or get other colors, you can buy shad darts pre-painted or raw leadhead.
I have used larger shad darts on the fly rod for American and Hickory Shad on coastal waters in the Mid-Atlantic.
