Campgrounds Near the Clinch
« on: May 24, 2012, 10:24:30 AM »
I am dragging the pop-up camper up to the Clinch this weekend for a fishing trip cleverly disguised as a family vacation.

Is Norris Dam State Park the best/closest site for a pop-up camper?  Are there any other places if it's full this weekend?

Norris Dam State Park is a great place to camp.  It's been a few years since we were there, but the whole family loved the place, the scenery driving in/out is nice and the park itself is right at the dam so if you are looking to fish the tailwaters right below the dam I'm not sure you could get any closer.

We have camped and stayed in cabins there in the past, good experience all around...

Hope this helps,
Dave

Camped at Norris last weekend. Would highly recommend it, just remember, it is first come.
