Whipped up a few of these this morning.

Front hook is a Gamakatsu B10S size 1/0 and the rear is a B10S size 2.

Good looking streamer, Sam!

When are you going to do the 3/0 Musky version?  I'm gonna need one of those.

I threw the one you tied for the last swap for Pike this Summer, but they were being finicky that day.

Looks good Sam Looper,  one opportunity: I would look at getting a hook that has a bigger gap in the front where the epoxy or whatever you are using is.  The back part of the fly looks good.  I could be wrong, but I am not; I have first hand experience about the gap. All I can say is: $1 bills, a night moon, no PBR, and numerous line siders not being penetrated.

Very good wet image.  Beautiful tie. As to hook size on the front hook i have found that the bulkier and less compressible ( new word) the head is, the bigger the hook size is need.   Hard heads lead with small hook gaps lead to more missed fish    Imo.  I use the gamagat offset worm hooks whenever possible as it is a very strong very sharp yet fine wired big gap hook.  Red color which i like. What is the compressibilty of the head in your tie and what is the head cover binder( glue?  Epoxy?)???

The head is very soft.  I coat the head with pearl t-shirt paint.  When that dries, I add a coat of exo flex.  The exo flex adds shape and protects the finished fly without making it rigid.  The fly in the photo is a bit bulky compared to the others I've tied, but the material collapses at the bend of the front hook.  I've not had any issues sticking fish with this fly.

Hmmm---Well then Great Job.  The fly does look amazing and Driftwood1 should take note of the tie.  Driftwood wrap the hooks like this but in black in white to mimic a mullet.  I have told you two times now.  The third will be a PITF.

Looks Fantastic and it sounds very practical as well.  Thank you for the photography.

I've got a few tied in olive and white, but I should try the black/grey/white and give you a few.  I just don't have the time to devote to fishing like I want and these flies just sit around, so I need to get you or Driftwood1 a box with a few color options.  I'd love to see a pic of a fat fish with this thing hanging out of its mouth.  I've got some rainbow trout patterns as well as the standard chartreuse and white.  I'll put together a package and get it to you one way or another.
