I have a couple Olympus WP cameras and I like them a lot and have no complaints.
I just don't care!

Go for model a few years old and save some money. The canon consistantly ranks highest of any of them but isn't the most practical as far as shape and carry ability. It's the reason I went with Nikon. That one would also do a fine job.

You can go to DPReview & look at them all, do side by side comparisons as well. I have an older Olympus 850, it has been a good camera, worked great in the cave we went in yesterday to.

I've been using the Panasonic TS models for several years. The TS-1 was a good camera, and the TS-3 has been a great camera. Waterproof, shock proof, great quality pics, and videos.
