Nice to see someone targeting and catching those fish.  A reservoir like that would seem like the abyss to me, and would be difficult to fish with confidence.
Great work.

Dave,

Congrats and awesome to be that generous to the fishery.  I wish everyone had this attitude.

A reservoir like that would seem like the abyss to me, and would be difficult to fish with confidence.

That statement is pretty dang true. Me and bd fished it Sunday looking from some winter trout up in reachable depths for a fly but ended with only a few more pieces to the puzzle nothing concrete.

it is really nice to see that kind of sportsmanship and conservation get some good press.  I loved the quote in the story about the Muskie recipe....something about putting muskie and cut up veggies in aluminum foil sack, cook over coals, when done throw away the muskie and eat the veggies...LOL.

Hey Guys, thanks for the kind words. With all the crappie, channel cats, trout and walleye to choose from, it's beyond me why anyone with a proper understanding of the fishery would even consider keeping a Muskie. Thank god for that 50 inch limit. Especially with the advanced replica technology. By the way, I do plan on getting a replica made one day but the 500.00 price tag seems hard to come up with. There always seems to be a boat repair or a gadget like the Fish Hawk I picked up last year...

Good on you Dave!  Thanks again for the info the other night.  I watched a bunch of Youtube videos and now better understand what you were saying.   Will post up the results on here once I'm able to try it out.
