A collapsible net.
« on: March 19, 2013, 06:04:51 PM »
Just ran across this on another forum.  http://mybasslasso.com/

I've never used a net either on the stream or out of a boat because of the bulk, weight and that it just gets in the way. Ok the truth is I don't catch big enough fish to warrant the use of a net.

Was reading in the comments that the guy is considering making a stream version.

I like the idea a lot, but it looks a little flimsy.  He has videos of stress testing the thing with 15lbs and it creaks like all hell but seems durable enough.  The current mesh material would be rough on fish to be released.  If he can come up with a release-friendly version, I would think this would be a hit with trout fishermen.

That's interesting.

I've been on the product development team for Leverage Landing Nets for the yeartrying to refine their origional product of a compact, easy to use, durable, landing net for confined areas. I just received the latest version around November, and I'm very pleased with it.
