Bucket list fish.
« on: June 02, 2013, 09:53:09 PM »
I'll never get a chance to target most of my bucket list fish but who knows I may hit the loto someday.

My latest one. Milkfish. I could spend hours shooting those eyes with my Mark III

My goal is still to catch a brown trout of decent size (bigger than 20"). I've tried many times, but one day I guess.
"Often, I have been exhausted on trout streams, uncomfortable, wet, cold, briar scarred, sunburned, mosquito-bitten, but never, with a fly rod in my hand, have I been in a place that was less than beautiful."

If I had $8k for a trip, there are plenty... Giant trevally and queenfish might be high up there.

A more reasonably priced fish on my list is the flathead catfish.  I've caught channel, blue, bullhead, hardhead, and gafftopsail, but never a flathead on the fly.  A cool looking predator in my book.
