Hit the water with Dr.Dave.... Always interesting!!
« on: April 21, 2014, 08:02:06 AM »
Didn't see any of the striped feesh,  but did see a few things you don't see every day. Dave's line went tight and well... Weird!!  And look who it was!

fishing was really slow, nice float though. I stuck a decent Lm earlier but didn't take a photo. Dave stuck a pretty nice Smallie he took a photo on his camera. And then Daves line went tight again.... And heavy!!! A few minutes later this brute was in the net!

I didn't get a pic of Yoda's green fish, but should have. I did manage to document a decent brown fish.

We'd debated going to some nearby bigger water instead. I stopped by there on the way home from teaching today. The skippies were blasting threadfins like crazy; and it was pure mayhem.

If you let it drop through the skips there were some bigger things about.

Even had a couple paddlefish cruise by, right off the bank. Sure not a bad way to while away a couple hours.

Very cool river sampling...love the mixed bag.  Always keeps you wondering what's on he hook.  A lot like saltwater.
