I don't have a Towee but I agree with Grumpy.  My back reminds me all the time that I probably should have gone longer on my Gheenoe.

I can't remember which mine is. I think it's the 48". I will measure when I get home. But as for height from inside the boat, that only matters on a tiller IMO. I think he is going with a remote.

Mine's the 48" one with a remote.

I wish I'd gone with a tiller!

I'm leaning towards the Minn Kota Riptide SP with the I Pilot remote.  I'm thinking the 48" is what I need but wanted to check with guys that already have them.

jgray, why do you wish you went with the tiller?

I'm eating crow when I say this - JR will tell you - but I can't stand the noise the motor makes when turning.  It's irritating to me and I think it scares some of the fish.

99% of the people that have them love them to death and wouldn't consider owning anything else.  For the first time in my life, I'm a 1%-er.

If I fished stillwater, I'd like it a lot more.

I think it bothers me more than it really should.  I still catch fish, I just make sure to set myself up to drift through shallow stuff that I want to fish without turning the motor.

Look at Yoda's drag chain set-up and copy it to a T!  I think he should patent it and sell it.

Have a 48" on my Supreme and wouldn't have it any other way. Wouldn't go without the remote and it doesn't scare the fish. They still bite.  ;D

I think the TM is the least of worries when it comes to spooking fish ;)
