Hopefully the forests bounce back quickly. I gotta say though,,,  Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge could use a little thinning...

Yeah, they made it out.  Here's sort of a master post with reports as it happens.  Just found part 2 of the video but it doesn't show much.  One of the comments in the other post said something about the guys doing an interview.

This is worse than I thought. 

I have a buddy whose family owns a hotel in Pigeon Forge.  Waiting to hear back to see if they're ok.

I have 2 friends that have no idea whether they have a place to live or not, something i'm used to seeing out west, not in these part's.

ARSOn.  of course.  Two juveniles, aged 15 and !7 in custody and charged with aggravated arson in connection lighting up the Chimneys fire complex with matches.  Aggravated arson is , i think, like second degree murder.  Personally I hope they throw the book at them.
