Man its hot! I’ve Been rubbing on the Lowe boat getting it back into shape for sale. It’s looking really good after a good detail job. I don’t know what kind of paint Lowe used on it but after 8 years it still looks darn good. I’ll be going through the engine with new plugs, compression testing, and anything else that needs fixing. I just replaced the water pump so it should be ok. The more I work on it the more memories it brings back and the more I think I’ll just hold on to it since it isn’t eating anything. But if the right offer comes along I’ll part with it and my Chevy will get that long awaited transmission transplant it’s needed for a while now.
If you’re looking for a great boat for the Caney and ANYWHERE else this is it. I took this boat all over the place. I wouldn’t hesitate to put it in any lake or river around this area. This was my cheap gas boat for about 8 years and it performed just fine all 8 of them. It has NEVER let me down!!!! It’s no Jet but with a little planning and boating skills it works just fine on most shallow rivers. It drafts in about 5 or 6”.
