Ive built two rods so far. A casting and a spinning rod. I have a bunch of blanks I collected a few years ago.

If it's a fly rod 6wt and up I will. Right now I'm finishing up several conventional blanks that I got a good deal on back when Rainshadow (I think) went to China and Custom Tackle was still in Shelbville TN. Bob made me a hell of a deal on the remaining US made blanks he had in stock. I've had them just sitting around for several years. I got the urge to build rods again so I cranked out a few.

I've been doing some conventional fishing on Centerhill lately trying to learn a little about the lake. It's a tough nut to crack and I have no interest in learning it with a fly rod.... I may come back with a fly if I ever figure anything out. That's a big if. Beginning to question why I moved to the hardest lake to fish in the state. The good news is that I'm in the center of several amazing fisheries within about a half hour. I love being close to Rock Island and I plan to spend a lot more time on Great Falls soon.

Here is a decent one from Center Hill a couple of weeks ago. I have found the only way to catch fish on that lake is spend all day out there following the shadows and trying to pattern the baitfish.
