Anyone been musky fishing?
« on: April 13, 2022, 05:53:10 PM »
I've moved a bunch. 2 eats. Landed one, of course the bigger fish got away. I think the one I got was low to mid 40s. I didn't have a tape. That's my second pot bellied fish I've lost at the net in less than a year. Now that turkey season is here they'll be on the backburner until mid May. Anyone else been out?

Yeah, I don't mind it to be a little high. I feel like it makes them a little more predictable.

Not a bad problem to have. I dragged the kayak down that way in October and gave the snook and reds a hard time. Lost a baby tarpon at the net too.

It was a decent winter for me but I’m switching gears now. Lots of other fish to chase that actually like to bite.  ;D

Right? Man my turkey hunting addiction keeps me off the water this time of year. From what I understand I'm missing out.

I’ll trade ya a musky for a turkey.

I went out in my backyard and casted for 2 hours. Kinda the same without having to get the boat out.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; deport him and you do not have to feed him again.

All I can halfway guarantee is to get you within earshot of some gobbles. The rest is up to the birds, but I'm not opposed to that at all.

Yeah, I often wonder what is wrong with me as I'm loading up after a long day of disappointment.
