Talked to Ed almost every time I went by the store in St. Louis.  He really was neat guy and so friendly I always bought stuff from him when I stopped by.  Sad to see him go.
Who is John Galt?

I talked to Ed quite a few times over the years, once I mentioned bird dogs and Parker shotguns, thought I would never get off the phone, that was a weak spot with him also.

Last time we talked, 3 or so months ago, I called to ask a question about a TFO rod he had mentioned in an earlier call, we talked for an hour and half, told me the history how he left Washington and ended up in St. Louis.

I took my little man to St. Louis Zoo 3 years ago, stopped in the shake his hand, he never did come out, was on the phone :D I understood, cause he had spend lots of time with me.

He had vertigo real bad, always talked about it, don't know what ended his life but the vertigo was working on him real bad.

I had a few conversations with Ed over the years, like David, i would have enjoyed shaking his hand & meeting him in person.
