Be prepared for all the construction work going on at Elkmont. They are repaving the roads in the campgrounds starting the end of April and most of the bath room houses are closed for renovation. Smokemont is still closed for repaving as was cades cove last week. I was camping at Elkmont last week and was lucky to get a spot.

However,  the fishing is very good in the park right now. when driving over do not come through Sevierville. (I work here). lots of road construction going on coming into town from the interstate and the rod runs are starting up this weekend.
I would drive in via Maryville to Townsend and over the LR road.

Nice picture grumpy!

Thanks GT.  I'll look into that...we usually go to Tellico in the spring but thought we would try the park this year...might end up going to Tellico after all.

Nice pic Grump.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.
