just something about a tiller handle on a Jon just looks sexy to me :D

I will get me some stick time before I screw down the key switch and the trim, but I already have ideas

not to sound like a smart a** but it is supposed to be. Papers says it is, it's larger than the 25 for sure but not as large as the photos make it look.

What caught you eye, otherwise ??? or just asking ???

dealer offered to mount them, told him I'd rather, cause I had a grab bar in mind for standing up and driving, but then I sometimes think about a full flat deck  ???

ah an aluminum flats boat ;D  You could put a hatch (very large door), and drop your feet down into the open area underneath, just make sure you have a good latch system to keep the door open while running.  Shut the trap door and presto, instant full deck.

Glenn,

I went out and looked, it is a 4 cylinder, 4 fuel injectors, the book that came with it says, 40 hp and 29.4 Kilowatts

Steve, my dealer is a Mercury Master Mechanic, he said it is a 60 powerhead.

I was just curious because I thought you were getting a 40/30 but that motor looks exactly like mine, which is a 60 /40. that boat will haul ass, I bet its 200#'s lighter than mine. Sweet and congrats.

as far as I know Mercury only makes the 25 and 40 four stroke jets, make large 2 smokers. Steve is a quite man, he grins with his eyes, when he tells me about the 40, he smiles and says it will fly, get on plane quick and go as fast as the 25 did at half throttle.

Have you put yours on a GPS ?

At one time Mercury had a 40/30, probably a 2-stroke.  They also had a 35/28 too.
