If you need to anchor a pink dumbbell works better. If you are needing a rudder/drift slower downer, a chain works better. Start short (both the chain and rope) till you figure out what you like. Personally, I don't like a chain on most flows, as it slows me down too much. Last word, be careful, not for high current areas (and rocks and strainers), keep a knife handy but when you snag, usually it is too quick even for a knife.
