Nice strike and follow...too bad you lost the Hellhound.
Only suggestion I would give is to edit videos that show revealing landmarks, and just focus on the strikes and action.  Ex--The 2nd half of the video.

Do as you wish, but I'd be selective  about how you share info if you really cherish predictable, quality fishing.

All that said, I do enjoy musky carnage videos.  Boat side explosions are the best.

Zac, I feel like you're probably a good dude to fish with, full of energy and enthusiasm, maybe even some original ideas. I'm also sure that somewhere along the way others taught you some of what they know in hopes that you would respect that gift.  I think one of the beautiful things about musky is the mystery that surrounds them, everything from searching new water and finding fish to the eats that come out of nowhere and cause you to shit your pants. These fish aren't trout. They're not even stripers (which I still haven't figured out yet). They're shrouded in mystery and are only found in a very small percentage of water in the southeast. You've worked hard to find these fish. Why intentionally give that knowledge away to people who can't find the muster to explore on their own?  I think that after we've unlocked some secrets ourselves it's easy to take things for granted, and in an attempt to gain respect or to prove ourselves worthy we just give away the very thing we worked so hard to attain. This cheapens the whole experience for everyone involved. Eventually all it screams is, "Hey, look at me, I give it up on the first date." Before you know it everyone's calling you to take them fishing because they see how giving you are -OR- you're left wondering why all the spots you fish have trailers in the parking lots. I really don't care if you can catch fish, and probably neither does the large majority of the anglers out there. What people do care about is where you catch fish... I understand that you may be trying to make a name for yourself, but if you exploit the very thing that brings you joy you'll only love it to death. I don't post much on here, and maybe this is my last post, but shit, man, please don't be so short-sighted and obtuse. What do you have to gain by being so cavalier? Your best gift to future musky fishermen is to let them figure out at least part of it themselves. If they don't want that they're not deserving of it in the first place.

I don't post much on here, and maybe this is my last post...

I sure as hell hope not. That was eloquently put, and pretty much nailed what I suspect most of us were thinking...

Vwake yours is a sediment that most of the members here live by. Stocked trout are another matter IMO. Small water trophy fishing can't take the pressure that the internet will bring. There are many trying to make a name from these great fisheries (at the expense of the fishery) lately. I can tell them all there is nothing to gain from it and everything lose. But,, I just keep quiet anymore.  I get criticized for pointing this out every time.  It sucks to see Johnny come latelys ruin spots you've fished and kept quiet about  for decades. Nothing you can do but let people learn for themselves.

Zach, your talking to people who have been around fishing and the internet for as long as the two have existed together. You don't have to agree, but the fact is many of us have seen first hand what happens when too much reveling info is given.
It's not jealousy, or elitism, anything else. Most of the people here are very capable anglers. It's that cringe in your gut that you get when you see an exact prime  spot being shown on the net. I can guarantee you that location in the video will receive alot more pressure this year. I'd bet a fly rod on it.

I look at it this way. I've paid ALOT and I mean ALOT of money in my lifetime for my gear, Boat, truck, insurance, gas, fly tying material, time away from family, yada, yada. I've fished just about every body of water within a 3 hour drive of my house, many of these places were a complete bust. Still, I paid the price and paid my dues. So my thoughts are,, when I finally find a great place, I've got alot invested in that place. To give it away to someone sitting on a couch eating potato chips and snickers, surfing the net makes no sense. This doesn't even take into consideration the people who scour the net looking for places to harvest fish.... Remember the guys that got caught with all those white bass last year. I'd be willing to bet loose lips sent them to the location where they got popped.

Zach the intention was not to run you off. This is a fishing board and differing opinions are inevitable. Most of what I posted was meant to be generalized, not directed at you specifically. What the others posted was not sharp pointed either.  It's your call, but we'd like to keep you around.
